Get the Look: Mad Men's Christina Hendricks wears NARS to 68th Golden Globes

Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali created Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks’ exuberant look with NARS Cosmetics for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards.

“I had this vision of a big, doe-eyed, lashy look from the late 70s and early 80s. To keep it modern, I kept the skin dewy with shimmering eyes and added a pop of matte texture on the lips,” said Vanessa.

FACE

NARS PRO-PRIME Multi Protect Primer With SPF (NEW for Spring 2011 – available February 1st exclusively at Sephora; for now, try NARS Makeup Primer With SPF) was applied to Hendricks’ face, followed by Sheer Glow Foundation. Copacabana Illuminator (NEW for Spring 2011! – Available February 15th on narscosmetics.com; for now, try Copacabana Multiple) was used to highlight and Christina’s glow was kept subtle with a hint of Desire Blush across the apples of the cheeks.

EYES

NARS Calanque Trio Eyeshadow (NEW for Spring 2011!) and Hollywoodland Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (NEW for Spring 2011!) were used to create Hendrick’s pop smokey eye. Christina’s eyes were defined with NARS Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo and Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara was applied to her lashes for that doe-eyed glam.

LIPS

The subtle matte lip Christina wore was created by patting NARS Vesuvio Pure Matte Lipstick into the lips.
