October is Pink! Shop for a cause for Breast Cancer Awareness

Disclaimer: I have not necessarily tried any of the following products or brands. Anything benefiting CAC was communicated in a CEW email newsletter and all other products were researched on my own time. I was not given samples of any of the following and I was not required to write about any of these products.

I’ve received a plethora of emails in the last few days from shopping deals, to events, to places to shop to support the cause. And it’s a good one.

Everyone knows someone, or someone who knows someone that’s been effected by Breast Cancer. A cause close to my heart, I’m encouraging you to do everything you can, not just in October, but all year round, to stay pretty, stay pink, and help find a cure.

Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so many great beauty brands and retailers are helping support the cause with your purchases, and I’ve got a list of places for you…so get shopping! (scroll over or click the images for details)

And just as an aside, you’ll notice that SSOS’s background will remain pink for the duration of October!

The following 10 or so items support CAC, which stands for Cancer & Careers. If you’ve never heard of them, CAC is run by CEW and is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting working women living with cancer. Cancer and Careers is committed to changing the face of cancer in the workplace by providing a comprehensive website, free publications, and a series of support groups and educational seminars for employees with cancer. Cancer and Careers’ Living and Working with Cancer workbook, available free of charge in English and Spanish, has been distributed to more than 55,000 cancer survivors in all 50 states, Canada, England, India, South Africa and Spain.

Their board of governors includes employees from Proctor & Gamble, Teen Vogue, Bare Escentuals, Sports Illustrated, Avon, Kenneth Cole, Sonia Kashuk and more!

Thanks ladies! It is for a great cause and I love the pink too!! I wish October weren’t the only month for Breast Cancer (or any cancer) Awareness! We should be aware all year. =)

I’m glad that someone is doing a write-up for a good cause, not just to showcase someone’s new collection or entice their readers to buy shoes from this brand. It’s good and meaningful and shows you’re an honest, decent blogger 🙂
